Core Goal-Who We Are!!
The Red River Racing Team is a non-profit paddlesports racing team and school dedicated to helping passionate individuals reach their goals in all areas of Canoe/Kayak Competition, as well as equipping non-competitive paddlers with the skills to have the best time on the water! We have designed many programs to help bring youth, veterans, and the community at-large out to the river!
We live to paddle, it is not just something that we do. It defines us! It is this love for the river that we want to share with you!
If you want to compete, the Red River Racing Team is for you! If you want to learn to paddle, then you have the opportunity at our David and Debbie Power Olympic Outdoor Center to take courses from Olympians and National level athletes who love the sport, while helping some Olympic Hopefuls, Junior Olympians, Veterans, and Texas youth reach their goals!! It is a win, win situation that we think is pretty sweet!! Not to mention Fun!

Have Fun Competing! Here at the Red River Racing Team, we make no apologies in striving for excellence. We also love to have fun at the same time! Becoming the best is truly fun, if you let it be. We don't aim to drive our athletes, but inspire them to be their best!! No Better Place to Train! The word is getting out! San Marcos, Texas is the place to train in the winter! The mild south Texas climate, combined with the 72 degree spring fed San Marcos River make the perfect winter training environment! With the Rio Vista Falls course directly upstream, and a great run down stream of the David and Debbie Power Olympic Outdoor Center, our outpost can't be beat! Plus, we are currently working on setting up a whitewater course near Monterrey, Mexico!! But Hey, don’t take our word for it. Just check out the new addition of Paddler Magazine!!
